Winner of Macy's Best Design Award, Etel Alexandrov began her career as a Fashion Editor at The Tobé Report in New York City. She has also worked for Nicole Miller as Public Relations Director. Establishing Etel AlexandrovTM in 1992, Etel quickly became the only designer in America besides Ralph Lauren to design and produce sweaters for Steiff USA' s Limited Edition Teddy Bears. Premiering her children's collection in 1997, her designer knitwear now sells in many exclusive stores and boutiques throughout North America.

Etel Alexandrov also designs custom work for specialty stores and museums. She has designed exclusives for Barneys New York and a Christmas collection for Henri Bendel in Manhattan. She has also designed for Madame Alexander Dolls. The most recent custom designed collection was unveiled in a special children's fashion show for The National Civil War Museum. Etel also designed a home-wear collection for the museum.

Etel’s exquisite sweaters are hand-knit in Europe and her hand-loomed knits are made domestically in the USA. Born in Europe, Etel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Also a versatile designer, Etel won a S.A.D.D. (Students Against Drunk Driving) competition and designed our nation’s only memorial dedicated to the innocent victims killed by drunk drivers in Pennsylvania. Etel’s designs are inspired by her European heritage, her many interests, nature, and the special needs of infants worldwide.
